You just revolutionized (and upgraded) the middle seat experience!
Who wants a dinky side seat in CE when you can get a Economy Throne. It shows the world that you're a thrifty sovereign with an unknowing underling at each side.
Better yet, there are far more Economy Thrones to "upgrade" to than CE/CW seats.
Well done!

A friend travelled on Wednesdays 0625 to Glasgow and there were about 35 people on an A321. Back in the final days of BD I flew on a long haul A321 from MAN to LHR on the last flight of the day that was delayed 3 hours and there were 7 of us. They kept the lounge open and invited all passengers to use it but charged us for BD BoB though we could sit anywhere.
On arrival at LHR T1 domestic arrivals was closed so they took us out the staff search way.

My quietest is 8 on AF 747 in late 70’s. Flight was CDG-BKK-SGN, the first leg was probably about 1/3 load, then 8 of us stayed onboard on final leg into Saigon. Chatting to cabin crew they said that it was fairly typical but that return was fully sold out and had been like that for ages.

April 2010, we were on a BA 747, LHR-IAD, with about 24 pax. The BA217 had just been reinstated in the small hours of that morning, during the CC strike. I guess not many people got to find out ... we did a mad dash from the Sofitel to check-in when we saw it come up on the iPad!

My record is 4 on a puddle jump from LCY to CDG back in the 80’s. Still too crowded for me, so I ended up in the jump seat in the “glass fronted” cabin where there were just the 3 of us, for the bulk of the flight!

Last Christmas I enjoyed WTP all to myself on a JFK/LHR, without about 20 pax in WT, although Club was almost full. I guess most of the plane gave themselves an upgrade as a Christmas present?

Emptiest BA flight was Xmas day from AMS to LHR- around 15-20 pax on a 320. Also experienced being one of 5 or so on a Lauda Air flight from MAN to VIE (might have been OS codeshare) and I was asked to move seats for trim purposes.
