As more 777s are refurbished more 747s will go. I believe by the time they move to terminal 8 it should be only the 777s operating the JFK route.

That is actually so sad...the end of an era for JFK and the 747.

Do you think the 787-10 will ever appear at JFK?

Itís a possibility but Iím not sure. I think itís highly likely though, given the aircraft is built for those type of routes. Maybe as the 777-200ERs begin to fold up. But thatís from 2025

We will have to see....

I would have thought the deciding factors are firstly volume (lots of club seats on the hi-J 747. Would need a new high-J config on another type) and then competitive cabin (with new Virgin Upper Class, Delta One & United Polaris on LON-NYC, plus Club Suite on other flights). With a large Club configuration like this on the 777s, I wonder if the 747 wonít be staying around on JFK to the end? Perhaps a few sectors during the final season?

I understand BA are moving all 74’s onto routes that require 3 crew as a way of solving their crewing shortages. This can be seen by the removal from East Coast routes and more appearances on West Coast, such as SJC.

The following I think will make up the LGW fleet once the refits are done, all with old Club World.

G-VIIO/P/R/T/U/V/W/X/Y
G-YMMA/B/C/D/E/F/R/S

G-YMME is being refitted now. G-YMMA/R/S are due to be done soon and will transfer LHR - LGW when done.

My money for JFK is a mix of 772 and 77W. Maybe 787-10 on EWR.

Just following up Schind's quote, the same source gave the following for other routes for the 200 series, though it will take some digging to get all the exact dates. And then on any given day it could be substituted. I may wiki this here, but let me just check the reaction first.

Planned new 4-class 777-200ER to operate following routes during summer season (specific flights/periods not listed here):
London Heathrow – Abuja
London Heathrow – Abu Dhabi
London Heathrow – Bahrain – Dammam
London Heathrow – Moscow Domodedovo
London Heathrow – Nassau – Grand Cayman
London Heathrow – Newark
London Heathrow – Toronto

Planned new 4-class 777-300ER (F8J76W40Y130) set to enter operation in the 3rd quarter of 2020,on London Heathrow – New York JFK route:
BA175/116 05SEP20 / 03OCT20 / 10OCT20 / 19OCT20 – 24OCT20
BA173/112 01AUG20 – 24OCT20
BA115/176 02SEP20 – 23OCT20 (Day x6)
BA113/114 16OCT20 / 17OCT20

interesting BA can fit two rows of F and THREE rows of club between forward two doors when others like AA and CX basically fit 2 and 2 rows, respectively.
