MAD-ARN with IB only 40TP in J?

So I am looking at this sector on the BA calculator and it seems to earn only 40TP in J. Is that right given it is around 1600 miles (more than LHR-HEL)?

Am I missing something?

Yes that’s right. The only routes which are sh+ getting 80 TPs are BA operated, and also the AY UK-HEL routes due to that being part of the JV agreement for those routes. Everything else is 40 TP below 2000 miles and then 140 from 2000 miles upwards.

Yes - what you're missing is that the 80 TP level only applies to two carriers: BA flights, and AY flights from the UK-HEL.

All other carriers earn 40 TP for flights under 2000 miles.

Correct, it’s 40TPs, have done it a few times. I think the 80TP for short haul plus is only on BA-operated (and/or perhaps marketed) flights, plus AY between LHR and HEL.

Wow - you learn something new everyday! I thought it applied to all oneworld flights between 1-2k miles!

Thanks

Well except lhr-lca which is above 2000mi but which ba annoyingly insists on not crediting with the 140TPs that should be owed... 😟
