BA802 LHR-GOT (broken down tug)
 

Sure someone mention a tug issue the other day in a thread, but not sure which one.

Sitting onboard the BA802 to GOT at present and apparently the (Mototok) / tug pushing us back has broken down.
First flight on a NEO and I get the fun of this!
Been a good 10-15 minutes or so already.

Also had an aborted landing earlier as well (HEL-LHR). Someone apparently decided to cross the runway as we were landing so the nose went and engines throttled.
Cracking views of London on that flight as we flew reasonable low over Westminster etc.

You probably meant this one which may be located by using the words British Airways, FlyerTalk and Mototok in a search engine of your choice.

I also experienced a broken down Mototok a couple of weeks ago. The captain was almost in despair as he relayed the commentary to us, and it was only when the cavalry arrived and scratched heads did they manage to resolve the issue.

IMHO the Mototok is a good idea, and they certainly look up to the job, but they do seem to have a few problems.

Well, first of all you need to search with the right key words. You knew it was Mototok so why not search using that? @:-) Also, use a standard search engine rather than the one built into FT.

I heard that Mohammed Said al-Sahaf, a.k.a. Bagdad Bob, when in charge of information, was happy to direct questions to the FT search 'engine' :p

Based on your other thread about a tight connection on to LAX, I hope this doesn’t delay you too much! Remember that even though going landside and using First Wing is “normally” quicker, you shouldn’t do that if there’s any chance of not being at FW to scan your boarding pass at least 35 minutes before the LAX departure - if that’s a possibility, stick to “flight connections” where your connection will be properly protected!
