I thought I would make this thread so we have somewhere to talk about the upcoming changes for S20 and any new routes which may be launched.

I did see that BOD is decreasing from 10 to 9 flights per week, however It looks that it’ll be 7 weekly for most of the season.

The flight times are now pretty bad too, only 1 flight a week which isn’t an early morning departure, makes a city break harder.

I'm excited to see where the A350 will be deployed next summer. Really hope this becomes apparent soon, especially if there is a sale in January.

Significant Route Changes
British Airways NEW New route to ABD, AYT, CFU, DUB, UVF.
British Airways CANCELLED FLL, LIG, LYS.
So it seems we'll see new routes to Abadan (Iran), Antalya, Corfu, Dublin and Saint Lucia. This to me doesn't make sense, especially Abadan and Saint Lucia. Saint Lucia is already served by BA while Abadan is a small airport in Iran that will no way get a direct flight to London. It may be ADB instead which is Izmir. Dublin is served 6 daily by EI so I don't see why would BA add more flights on the same route.

Yes I think you're right and it's a typo. In the document it also mentions Corendon Airlines (which is Turkish) going to ADB as opposed to ABD.

Given the sanctions and BA not even willing to make Tehran work, it would be amazing if they decided to fly to some small airport in Iran no-one has ever heard of.

LHR-EZE will have reduced services from once daily to I think 4 times per week. May be 5.

I’m skeptical at these ACL new routes.

Although CFU could be a real possibility, DUB seems odd given that EI operate the route and BA fly from LHR and LCY.

I’m surprised there are no new long haul routes from LHR next year, can we expect some?
