Have to laugh about the hate of companion fares - I assume you're just as up in arms about the other "shortcuts" used to differentiate business travellers...?

As to the CW fares, I can see ~Ł1600 to BNA [which doesn't seem to be a companion fare]. Now assuming that these are the Black Friday fares [they have been up since this morning, but weren't good enough for me to realise that they were "big" sale fares] then they are nowhere near as good as last year, but these do allow connections and non-BA metal. Period is 23rd-29th outbound [but Mon-Wed for the lowest, so not really] and 6th-15th inbound [again, Tue-Fri].

I do wonder if something more is coming as I can see a similar fare to CHS for instance [requiring a connection], and also slightly higher to ATL [which is the one I was really hoping for as a 2 for 2020] - which would seem to contradict the email Raffles got.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't wait for this sale, very few CW destinations compared to previous years, and definitely not at bargain prices - eg Jo'Burg for Ł2,599 or Austin for Ł2,419 (both for 1 person)

Be warned - the FT mods have told me that anyone admitting to booking the 'Avios & Money' options promoted by BA above will have their FT account suspended until they have attended a retraining course .....

Totally underwhelming Club Europe companion fares: the best I can find to Helsinki in March is Ł256 per person, which is pretty much what it always costs.

And those Avios part-payment rates in the table above are simply shocking.

Yikes, yes, very poor value using Avios here.

Because it's "black and white" that the offers are rubbish?

There's a word missing in the sub-headline. Is should be "The offers you see, are all the offers you'll get"

Think again BA. We were thinking of going away for new year, if you delivered a decent offer. But with that lot we will stay at home instead.

Well, the official sale offered nothing of use to me, but I have managed to snag J flights LHR-MEX for less than half the price they were yesterday, so I'm very pleased with that!
