World Traveller Seat Depth (787-9) Question

Does anyone please know the depth of a World Traveller seat on a British Airways 787-9?

According to Seatguru, the seats are 17.5 inches wide, with a pitch of 31 inches, however after searching the forums and the web, I could not find the seat depth measurement. I found this thread, and while it focuses on the A321 and A350, would this suggest that the depth would be 46cm (18.1 inches) as this seems universal for all seats? Or would this not be the case?

Thanks very much to anyone who can help.

Hopefully the one and only c-w-s will be updating that thread with his latest batch of measurements soon. Fingers crossed that the one you are looking for will be in his next batch!

Dunno what an inch or two is in your world, but the Y section is hideous on 788 and almost as bad on the 789. Awful on the new 10 across 777 also

Do whatever you can to get a bulkhead / emergency exit seat

Veering slightly off topic here but which is worse, 777 in 10 across Y or 787-9?

I've gone through my notes and though I have a few to add to the other thread, I do not seem to have a tape measured dimension for the 787 series in World Traveller.

However I am near certain that 45 or 46 cm would be correct, the problem with the 787 is the width. Again this is unmeasured, but it is narrower than Pinnacle, 44 cm would seem right to me, using the seat mapping in the other thread.

I would say the 777 is the better, from visual appearance only. One needs a tape measure to be sure though.

Thanks for all the replies.

It sounds like 45/46cm is the likely dimension. I'll try to remember to measure it and let you know for sure.

Thanks again.
