You start from scratch each year, yes, so 600

Just to add as well as the 600 you'll need 4 'eligible' flights as well.

Don't forget, too, that once you have earned 600 TPs (and made four eligible flights) you'll be Silver for the remainder of your membership year and the whole of the following year, thus giving you almost two years of benefits.

Or you would be if BA's IT realised this!

October 8th TP end date, still have silver until end of November. Completed a TP run on Nov. 12th, I have 800 TP's and have completed the 4 qualifying flights....still waiting for my card expiry date to change to November 30th 2021....

I'd expect that to show in October 2020 but you'll still get a new silver card when the time comes.

you current card expires end of november and the website reflects that. at the beginning of december you will have a new expiry date which i think will be end of nov 2020 rather than 2021, then another update oct/nov next year

No, it'll be 2021. You get it for all of your new TP earning year plus the next one, so 2021. Remember, I let my Silver move to Bronze on October 9th and then earned 800 TP's between then and now.

Yes so just to confirm as noted even if you hit the threshold to re qualify during your current membership year your card expiry date as noted in the "View more account information" and on the app will still reflect your current card expiry date - so for me it says 31 January 2020. Once you get past your membership year expiry date that will update and a new card will be issued with the 2021 date on.

i do not doubt you have status until 2021. i suspect the website will give you one year tier collection expiring oct 2020, card expiring nov 2020, and then as that expires it will update with a new date 2021. i could be wrong

You may be right, but this would cost BA money, sending out two cards, one each November, rather than just one the first time around.

Hopefully I'll find out shortly when my new card arrives.

The physical card will have a November 2020 date on it.

Just as it does on the app.

Thanks for the clarification, I just wish BA would update my account to show that I'm back to silver. App says only 700 points to gold, whilst I received a Bronze card in the post yesterday.
