British airways eu compensation
Hi
when BA confirm they are paying you EU compensation direct into bank account how long does this take?
the lady said it should be with me “soon”

When did you give them your bank details?
Usually takes a couple of days.

I gave them it a few weeks ago in my claim details, they told me 2 days ago it would be put into that account.
”soon” just seemed vague as not sure if it meant same day, week or month.

Is it a uk bank account? If so approx 5 working days.

When I claimed in 2018 it took 10 days (elapsed, not working) between confirmation they agreed with the claim to funds-in-account.

It took around 5 days for me.

Just to welcome you to Flyertalk Heather Meiklejohn, and to welcome you also to the BA forum. I think you have some good guidance above, but we also have a dedicated thread on EC261 which gives various other examples of people getting their money, usually fairly swiftly after BA agree to pay it. You will often find that EC261 thread near the top of the forum, but if not you will find it, and a lot of other useful information, in the BA Forum Dashboard.
