BA canceling 787 Flights Again in November 2019?

BA 278 SJC-LHR is flown by a 787-9. One flight a Day.
BA 278 has been canceled 3 times this month.
The BA 279 LHR-SJC was canceled also.
So for this month the 3 cancelled flights:
Nov. 2
Nov. 5
Nov. 8

Does anyone know if this is a continuation of the RR Trent problems?
I am concered about this as I am taking this flight next week.
Thank you in advance.

I was scheduled for BA188 EWR-LHR this Wednesday (November 13), but it’s been cancelled. Also 787...and looks to have had several cancellations earlier this month.

Thanks,

I am curious why there has been so little news or chit chat about the cancelations.

Unfortunately there are two 787s still without engines so yes the cancellations you noted could well be because of this

I'm on BA95 LHR-YUL on the 22nd and the return on the 27th, which are always flown by 787s. Fingers crossed those remain unaffected...

I’ve got a booking on BA123 to DOH in mid December- and about the only one booked on the plane in CW - so worried this will be cancelled. I know QR offer several other fights a day, but none fit my timings for my onward connection or my earlier non protected flight so well!

Given the acute shortage of longhaul frames, it would appear G-YMMA's (48J 772) seating refurb has been pushed out too - usually there are two 777s at CWL getting refurbished/maintained and it's YMMA's turn - but right now there's only one aircraft at CWL (YMMB)

LHR to Baltimore has also switched again to the 777 Gatwick 10 across Y for the next couple of weeks which is normally a 787-8

Yep, you're quite right - G-VIIP seems to have positioned to LHR on the 27th Oct to do the BA228/229 rotations (except for a day stint back at LGW on 30th Oct)

We were booked on the 787 to SJC on 31st March. This has also been cancelled. Seems quite far out to predict a 787 shortage?

Happily rebooked on to the A380 in first to SFO!

Also cancelled my flight to IAD last week. Wasn’t too happy as like to fly the 787/350 these days for less toll on the body...

Do these shortages mean BA will delay the scheduled retirements of G-CIVG (Hi-J 747, due to go this month) and G-ZZZA (non-ER 777-200, due to go in Jan) or are those dates hard limits based on C/D checks?
