BA 100??

Can someone please explain how BA is 100?

I am struggling to figure out how it is 100 years old.

there are other threads on this but basically they looked back into history through all the previous companies that merged and merged and got 100

Whereas KLM really is 100. Wonder of they got a telegram from the King of the Netherlands (who used to do some pilot shifts for them before he bacame KIng) ?

Take a look at the BA100 website, it visually outlines a timeline from over the years. https://www.britishairways.com/100/centenary-collection

And they got that wrong. The company they're claiming to be linked to was founded in 1916. BA have decided to start their history when an aircraft flew a scheduled flight from Hounslow Heath to Paris for the first time.

O/T I'm afraid, but he continued to fly long after he became King too!
