Coke Zero - enhanced for good?

On a recent LGW flight in CE (both directions) I was informed by the crew on asking for a Coke Zero that “we don’t stock that any more, is Diet ok?”.

Is this really a permanent change and if so does it also affect LHR short-haul, long haul, LCY flights etc?

That's a bit rubbish if it's across the board, though I'd prefer Pepsi to be honest. I do wish they'd start stocking 'full size' cans like AA do.

I was told similarly on an LHR-FRA flight recently. Agree it’s disappointing, but in the grand scheme of things there are worse enhancements...

I recall that it was only there following a supply chain issue with Diet Coke?

Absolutely agree, it’s just a shame. I wonder what the cost saving is per flight?

Must have been a major issue as we had CZ in plentiful supply for a pretty long time...

I prefer Coke Zero over Diet Coke, I wouldn't at all touch Coca Cola Light in Germany, it tastes like acid to me. Time to stick to G+T then.

At the end of August they had no Coke Zero in CCR (they have the bottles) but they had cans of them in GF. Not something I drink inflight so not noticed. Be disappointing if it has gone from everywhere.

Coke Zero and Fanta removed from all cabins due to low take up, space will be used for more Ginger Ale and Diet Coke

Beltway2A Oct 23, 2019 4:32 pm

It's no longer showing up on the online list of offerings: https://www.britishairways.com/en-us...economy-dining

A disappointment for passengers, embarrassing for what's purportedly a full-service airline.

I remember years ago doing the Pepsi Challenge. In spite of them chilling the Pepsi and not chilling the Coke, I still preferred the Coke...

LGW to ANU today, coke zero was present on board.

Isn’t Coke Zero branding being phased out globally in favour of “coke no sugar” now? Maybe this has started to hit the UK?

The rebranding is “Coca Cola Zero Sugar.”
