Johannesburg Early Check In
Flying out of Johannesburg back to London tomorrow on the 7:20pm. Seeing as comair operate out if there, is check in available from early afternoon so I can go chill in the lounge for a few hours? Flying first so I understand I can use the slow lounge currently.

I think that all of Comair's flights, whether international or domestic, check in at Terminal B. In fact, Terminal A and Terminal B are not really separate terminals, but just two different check-in areas. Although I believe that Terminal A is only for international flights, Terminal B is not for domestic flights only. That check-in area handles, for example, all South African Airways flights, wherever they are going.

No as Globaliser has already pointed out, BA have their own check in. Comair will not take your bags for a BA service to LHR.

If I have a few hours between an arriving domestic flight and the departing BA flight I have found lunch at the IC at the airport to be reasonable quality and a good place to spend an hour or two.

Depends upon your preference:

BA Inflight Steak
OR

Steak at The Grillhouse
Our office is currently at Rosebank, so I head to the Grillhouse there, enjoy a fabulous (nay, tremendous, gorgeous, superb) steak, then hop on to the train. It's an early dinner, but oh so much better than eating on the flight.
NB/ Apologies - no idea if its possible to resize the images inline.

South Africa night flights are perfect for sleeping so I endorse the eat before and maximise rest on board! The catering ex JNB is pretty average too. Mixed Fleet are also glacially slow at serving on this route / both the good and less good crews seem to take an equal and inordinate amount of time.
