New BA First Class? [8F configured Boeing 772]

BA173 tomorrow (09.10.19) - accordingly to Expert Flyer. The only BA cabin to currently operate an 8 seat F Cabin is the 7879.

Published F cabin of the 777-200.

BA173 departing tomorrow (09.10.19), LHR - JFK is operated by a 777-200. The First cabin is showing as just 8 seats... could we about to get a glimpse of the new BA First Cabin? There is significant speculation that it will be the same seat that features on the 787-9, but possibly with a door....

It’s exactly the same as today’s F on the 777, just 8 seats.

Will the First cabin now have only one WC?

Yes, just one.

Maybe I‘m a bit slow, but is a 789 operating the JFK flight, or is there a new 777 config with just 8 F seats? If so, have I not been paying enough attention to FT over the past months?

It seems you’ll be on G-RAES (providing all goes to plan) as per the 777 refurb thread

New F, as in „new“? Or just same old F with fewer seats?

The new first seat is still some way off, the B777s will have the current B777 F Seat, just reupholstered.

Will be interesting to see how F passengers react to the F seat on these new configuration flights after walking through J to F.

Indeed it might be the first time people won’t moan that they’ve been downgraded (only to J of course)!

Does the 777 8 seat F cabin have the buddy seat or is it the same as the 789?

Please post some images of the First cabin! It will be interesting to see how BA have reconfigured the cabin and refreshed the seats.

Relieved! As nice as the new J seat appears to be, I’m sure I’ll be happier with the space and exclusivity of the First seat and cabin.
