BA297/296 cancelled Oct 6th - reason?

Hi all,
could someone in the know find out what the reason for the cancellation was? Check in agent mentioned the flight was virtually empty so she thinks this was why.

Could that be the case?

Mario

No: it was technical, according to EF.

The rotation is actually BA297 / BA296. BA295 operated today, albeit late.

According to EF and BA - yes. However: an A380 was cancelled and BA was able to rebook all passengers onto the earlier 747. Sounds like it would have been a verrrrryyyy empty flight if they manage to squeeze an A380 load into a already booked 747.

Just in case anyone is interested, we're talking CHICAGO

A mention of the route doesn't take too many key strokes: and It's a great help to us numbskulls yet to commit the BA schedule to memory.....

And what was the load like on the outbound flight?
