First service on late flight from Dubai?
 

Hi all,

I did try and search for the answer but couldn't find it so here it is: Thanks to a 2-4-1 the wife and I will experience First for the first time on a flight back from Dubai on a 747.
The downside is it's BA0106 which leaves at 2.20am. What sort of service can we expect in First? e.g will there still be dinner? It's an odd time but we're keen to make the most of the flight as we're unlikely to repeat the experience any time soon after that.

You’ll get a full dinner if you wish! Though lots of people will sleep, don’t let that put you off enjoying yourself and the meal service.

Isn't BA106 now operating with A350 (Club World Suite but no F)?

The main meal is always the first meal served even with slightly strange departure times like this so a full dinner will be available then breakfast before landing. You will be able to avail yourself of the full F dining & drinking experience although as most of the cabin will probably want to sleep on a relatively short sector at this time the lights will probably be dimmed & service delivered relatively quietly.

Having said all that, Dubai is a leisure dominated route as opposed to eg. NYC so crew will be expecting passengers to want to enjoy the experience fully.

I was expecting that too, but it appears not... If they do change aircraft I'll be in a tough spot: choose between new business suite on aircraft I've never flown or change flight to stick with First. The aeronautical engineer in me would be severely tempted by the former but the wife will be thoroughly uninterested and i guess the latter will win.. :D
Though reward availability in First is very limited as are our flight dates choices,,,
