40 minute connection at LCY. What happens if luggage doesn't make flight to FCO

Thanks to all for the comments.
For me the problem was removed due to the FCO flight being 25 minutes delayed.
Never been so happy with a delayed flight.
For info, We were through security without a problem but the cabin crew on the first flight gave us stickers to get through security faster if required.
Bag made it without issue.
