ITA matrix bookings with "multiple airlines"
I have asked my TA to book an itinerary which ITA attributed to "multiple airlines". Basically, the BA metal flights are on BA numbers and the AA metal flights are on AA numbers.
Once ticketed, I want to upgrade the BA sectors with Avios (space is available right now). My questions: - Will BA regard their sectors as ticketed with BA and therefore upgradeable with Avios? - Will the fact I have made this through a TA prevent me from upgrading with Avios? Thanks in advance for any help. |
Hi,
I think per the sticky; https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...l#post30593390 because your booking has AA flights in it you will not be able to upgrade the BA flights. If it was BA fights only then you could. Regards TBS |

Many thanks for all the help. It is very much appreciated.
I managed to construct a fare on BA flight numbers and then got the excellent GGL line to book it for me. I was then able to use Avios to upgrade the BA metal TATL flights into F/Z. The best bit? BA charged me £300 less than ITA Matrix priced it all for! |
