BA2039 [LGW-MCO] : 15 Sep 2019 - Cancelled

Hello FT,

Regarding the flight BA2039 (15 Sep 2019) to MCO has been Cancelled. Can anyone shed any light on why its been cancelled from Expert Flyer?

I've being given "Industrial Action" as the reason. Just wondering if its eligible for EU.261? even if they managed to get me onto another flight tomorrow?

Thank You

It’s a knock on effect from the pilots dispute, all customers will be able to be rebooked in fact only a handful haven’t done so yet.

When were you notified of the cancellation? If within 14 days of departure then EC261 compensation is due.

This is the information from ExpertFlyer. This indicates that the flight cancellation should award EU261 compensation.

Have you been rebooked and appropriately looked after?

Thank You @Tafflyer - Yes, they have rebooked me to an earlier flight but still a nightmare as it was an AA booking on BA Metal. But thankful to the BA Gold Line staff who liaised with AA Customer Service.
Still wondered if I was entitled EU.261 even though have moved me to an earlier flight? Just curious to know.

If your new flight departs more than one hour before your original flight, and arrives less than four hours after it, you can claim Ä300 per person.

Thanks Tobias-UK - BA Call Centre Staff did advise that I can try to make claim once the trip has been completed. That money will be going back to BA for more bookings

Likewise, hope you're well.

There are a few uncovered flights this weekend. BA have been trying to get some crew to work days off, with mixed results.

I believe it is if the flight leaves more than 1 hour before OR arrives more than 2 hours after the schedule of the original flight that Ä600 per person will be payable for. Type 3 flight. The early MCO flight is more than 1 hour before the later (cancelled) flight.

The OP is entitled to €300 compensation, depending on the actual arrival time.

BA073 to Abu Dhabi has also been cancelled today. No so much as a text from them. I only find checking in now at MXP, whereby the auto booking has moved me to the flight out of MXP at 7pm connecting to the overnight DXB. No thanks.

I at least managed to get my first leg reinstated, and let's see what I can do in LHR

EY has 3 J seats left on the 3pm. Plenty of avail on Emirates to Dubai as well.

If you can get the BA107 to DXB thatís the A350 and you can at least try out the Club Suite.
