Fun: BA FAs with vintage uniforms at LHR
Just a fun post for a change. Was flying with RJ from TLV to CDG via AMM in Business (mileage run, $580 for 180 tier points) on wednesday but my flight from TLV had 2 hours delay so ended up missing my flight CDG. Was rerouted via LHR which was annoying making me arrive at 23:00 instead of 15:30. The good thing was that I ended up in flying the 787 instead of the 320 from Amman. And I was obviously in Club Europe in BA. While waiting at T5 galleries first, I have noticed 8 cabin crews with vintage uniforms. Was great fun as they have explained to me the era of each uniform. Was great fun talking to the FA wearing the paper uniform. Asked her what would have happened to the uniform if somebody spilled some water on it. She told me, the uniform would disintegrate and the FA would have ended up naked. Fun moment in a very long day. Has anyone seen them?

No, but nice photo.
Kudos to you for taking it and them for being up for it.
I think the 100 thing has been a lot of fun overall.
Not sure how many folks it reaches outside the frequent flyer community and I'm sure many would have traded it all for more reliable IT systems.

Well he does lurk around here from time to time, he is fond of the camera lens, and I've never seen you and lex together..... I must admit I did think the middle white t-shirt uniform was a bit low cost, but perhaps suitable for World Traveller cabin crew when the air conditioning goes on the blink. It wasn't the worst uniform in that line-up, on the "nostalgia isn't what it used to be" principle.

Do I look like Honor Blackman or Ann Robinson? You, my Love, are one of the few people who permit their photos here - I salute you. As to the uniforms, there was a lovely one that was around when I came over from BCAL. I loved it after the kilt, but Him Indoors said that it made me look as though I was working on the check-out in a Supermarket. I did take him to A&E subsequently and visited him periodically at the hospital.

What's the blonde on the far right got on? Looks like something she'd wear in bed.
