Child flying alone

My children are spending Christmas in the UK and will be flying without an adult. One will be 16 by then and the other will be 14. Does the 14 year old need a parental consent form? And is she considered to be flying unaccompanied or is the 16 year old considered as her “adult”?

There's only a requirement for a consent form for young people under the age of 16 traveling alone. In your example I don't think it's required. If the 16 year old wasn't traveling, the 14 year old would require a consent form.
