LHR delays... [12 Aug weather]

Looking st a large number of SH delays into LHR, wondering what I have missed?

According to the eurocontrol tactical update it is weather disruption for Lhr and the south east generally.

Yes Eurocontrol is reporting cumulonimbus activity for both LGW and LHR, as well as the London and Brussels airspace. A few other places in Europe also affected at the moment.

Sat in T3 lounge now and we are delayed on a long haul departure... But, given the route, its no great surprise

Currently showing 9Y on both flights and J4/J5 plus some other limited availability in other fare classes on both.

Yes, a bit in both cases. If things get sticky, LCY is wide open on their evening flights. LGW is nearly sold out.

Many thanks just sitting at GVA waiting for EUPJ

Watching the 729 which should have left -an hour ago nearly going nowhere fast..,

ba currently showing me arriving LHR at 16:35 meant to be getting the 1492 @18:15 so just needed pre armed

worst case they can put me on an early morning and I do a b2b

Reminds me of when my dad worked in Ghana for the Boys Brigade, setting up the movement there. If a meeting was called for 1930, the inevitable question was asked 'is that BB time or Ghana time?'
