Just got the same notification here too for our flights in December, really please about this. Looks like we have the the 77H config, got the small cabin going outbound but coming back it looks like others have managed to grab them before I did, there is full availability in the big cabin part.

Anyone know if there is any better seats in that cabin or is it just a case of avoiding row 8?

We're off to CPT in December and when we booked it was a 777 operated by an aircraft with the 'old' CWS, however now very pleasantly surprised when I read today's email that it's now planned to be operated with a 777 equipped with the new CS (the second daily flight is operated by the A350) so really looking forward to trying these out,

I’m flying on BA12 in January too. As it’s now a 787, is it likely to stay that way now, i wonder? Disappointed as it’s my least favourite CW - if I’m going to be in the old seats anyway then I like the inside pair of the 2-4-2 layout.

In the 3rd 77 M configuration, is the mini cabin the way to go?

Has the strange asymmetrical row 8

Does anyone recognise this layout for our flight from LHR to MCO on 4th August? I know it’s a 777 but not much more than that and can’t find it on Seat Guru, where the cabin appears to be split in two with the larger part towards the back.

Apologies, I think I’ve answered my own question. It’s the 777-200ER Four class configuration: 8F 49J 40W 138M, shown in the main layout post of this thread.

I was thrown slightly by the fact that the row numbers appeared to begin at 1, but it’s merely that the BA app shows 8F seats bundled into two rows.

Please stand down.

Rows 1 and 2 are First seats and will be used if all CW seats are occupied, this is known on here as FLUB.

Thanks, wasn’t able to find the layout anywhere and had assumed the toilets would be immediately behind us, so pleasing that they’re not.

I’m intrigued as to what FLUB stands for now, though.

It's an amalgamation of First and Club: FLUB class, aka First seats with Club service.

I'm flying to Orlando on 3 August, in Club. Up until today the seat map had been showing the old style Club World seats, but I logged in today and the seats for our outbound flight have changed. The seat map now shows 4-across seating, so I'm hoping for the new Club Suites but I don't recognise the layout. The Club World cabin for our flight shows rows 1 and 2; then a gap with no seats until row 5 which then proceeds to row 8 where the galley seems to be located; then rows 7 to 17. All rows have four seats: a window seat, aisle, two centre seats, aisle, window seat.

Is this a BA layout, or has our plane been swapped out for a non-BA plane? The flight is BA205 departing LHR on 3 August.

Ah, apologies, just spotted my question has been answered in the last few posts. Read first, post second is always good advice, even if I don't always follow it.

As of the 1st week of July, it wasn't going at all for G-STBJ as per my post #768 in the Fleet deliveries thread which showed it had no internal config change (BA fleet: confirmed information on aircraft deliveries, refurbishment and retirements). There seems to have been some movement on the CWL based aircraft in the last week so hopefully it means it is currently undergoing a refit - but it just shows BA don't need long-haul aircraft right now given they are happy to have 8 of them sit around CWL in the height of summer!
