Hi all,
If anyone is in the know, could you offer an opinion on the following seat selection (cannot find proper map on SeatGuru). Seems to be a newly refurbished 777(300ER?) with 1-2-1 configuration. We have selected the first row in Business, row 4 (two middle seats, F & E). Will this seat location offer a larger foot space, etc.?

Any information and observational insight greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi Fozzie

While I would need your exact flight date to be 100% sure, I am 99.9% sure you are on a 3-class B777 with the new Club Suite (there are only 5 out of 16 B77W's upgraded to CS and with no-F offered on the CPT route, it would be a large waste to have BA send one down there and have it sit around all day on the ground). If you are looking at your seat map via BA.com, it is a well known bug that only row 4 or 5 onwards in Business is being displayed / offered for seat selection. If you want to see if rows 1 to 3 are on offer, try your booking details on RJ.com for the full seat map, and all seats are the same in the new Club Suite - no extra room / wider leg space, especially in row 4 on a 3-class B777.

Thank you P37,
Our flight is on 25 January; just happy the aircraft is the new suite configuration. Currently, I can't even get the seat map to load on either the BA website or the mobile app, been that way all day today....sheesh! What a way to run an airline.

Cheers!

LHR to LAX im May

Im booked in CS in May to LAX. I have the front row of club and although i cant see the seat map for row 1-4 i assume those are F as first is available if i do a dummy booking.
what happens to paid for seat reseevations if the aircraft changes - im mostly thinking about the planes were swapped out for a380s this week in response to the 5G rollout.

You will have a seat on the new plane if that happens which, depending on how much you originally paid, may allow you to swap to any other seat of your choice, or may require additional payment for the most expensive seats on a new plane.
In the case of the A380, that would be upper deck , window seats at the front

Hello!

I've just stumbled across this forum (genuinely shocked that I've never seen it before as an aviation enthusiast)!

I wonder if anyone might know the answer to this. I'm due to fly on BA281 BA269 on the 17th March, it's showing as an old Club World cabin as is all the other flights on the surrounding days. What are the chances of it being switched to a refurbished model? Very keen to try out the new club suite!

Thanks

Hello Jodge, and a warm welcome to BAFT! Glad you found us (eventually!).

I think what you’re seeing will be it. We have an LHR-PHX on 1 Mar, and it was only yesterday that MMB finally showed the expected airframe. So my guess is that all the LHR 777 airframes have now been assigned for March. Old Club for you, new Club Suite for us … sorry!

Hi Jodge,
I was in the very same situation as you are now (same flight even same configuration). I think BA was using A388 for a while on this flight but now they use only B77W and unlucky for us only M/N/O/P and I think B or D are refurbished at this moment. From June they will be flying A351 with club suite to LAX as well. But you are very much likely will fly on old config.

Thank you T8191 & casey89 , my suspicion exactly! Fingers crossed for a last minute change hey. For what it's worth, I actually really like the Club World seats, provided you get 16A/F!

LHR to SIN Dec 2022

Hello All,

We have booked business class on a flight from LHR to SIN BA 11 in the first week of December 2022. Showing as a 777-300, any chance of suites on this route?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

There is a chance. At the moment per the wiki at the top of the post 5 of 16 777-300s have CS. The rest are due to be fitted but I do not know the timescale for finishing the fleet. I would imagine that more will be fitted during 2022 so your chances in Dec 2022 should be higher.

Regards

TBS

I have booked LHR-NBO at the end of August. The seat plan when i booked my seats showed old Club World but I notice that recent flights have been with the new Club World.
Are they likely to keep to the new CW in August?

I have been looking at LHR-MCO on the 205 at the end of November. During the booking process and on Expert Flyer it is showing as CS. Are the refitted planes going there at the moment? I would have thought that such a leisure heavy destination would be one of the last to get it

LHR routes on B777 aircraft are due to be fully CS by the end of 2022 - so anything from Oct onwards should see 90%+ of the fleet in CS configuration unless there is a big delay on the refit.
