Mixed fare class ticket question

I was wondering if you have a mixed fare class ticket J/A, will rescheduling the J portion (same day) still attract a fare recalculation?

If it is a through fare (for example, EDI-LHR-JFK), where the short segment is in J and the longhaul segment is in A, then despite the J booking class the fare itself may have restrictions (which A fare are likely to have). If it is prior to the first segment then there will be a fare recalculation. If you mean that you're in J outbound and A inbound then, while still needing to recalculate, you may be able to do it with no additional charge.
