All flights at Gatwick airport currently suspended [10/07/2019]

Apparently due to an "air traffic control issue" incoming diverted and outbound not happening right now.

On BA2557 Rhodes to Gatwick, started boarding and then stopped when they heard the news. Due to depart at 2030 (1830 UK time), approx 5 hour delay just announced due to this issue.

Does anyone know a good place to track updates given airport screens and BA app aren't showing updated status?

This is working for me:

https://www.britishairways.com/trave...time1=23:59:00

The only two diverted so far are TFS to Stansted (is one of the Rockies on that?) and Ibiza unfortunately got Bournemouth. Lots of 5 hour delays, it's actually a quiet period for BA at LGW. I would hope that some of those come forward. The late EDI and GLA are indefinites at the moment.

From Eurocontrol

EGKK (London Gatwick)
Arrivals & Departures unavailable until 2100 due to an ATC technical issue (Electronic flight processing failure)
High delays.
The situation is ongoing and NM will update accordingly.

as for websites, none really. Until the issue is resolved no slot can be generated. Hopefully tactical cancellations will mean slots are easier to obtain as as the evening wares on the demand on the system will decrease. Hopefully it can be fixed before flight time limitations on the crew start to become a factor.

I'm watching VRN-LGW (BA2597) on FR24 to see what happens to it as it's due to land shortly but showing a 20 minute delay. There's a EZY heading to LGW in front of it as well.

Currently BA2763 AMS to LGW is showing as departing 19:05 CET (so normally that means you're on the apron in Schiphol rather than disembarked) with an ETA of 22:57 BST. That suggests a take off of 23:00 CET as things stand.

Highly unusual, normally LHR doesn't do diversions.
