LHR-DEN

Is Denver historically quite a high fare route? Been looking at a paid F trip in March 20 and (unlike lots of other US routes) never see it in any sales or with reasonable fares.
One of the offered 2 stop routings via ORD (albeit almost a 19 hour trip) was half the price. I suppose it all comes down to what willing to pay for a lower frequency direct route.
The other issue is whether you lose some F ground benefits as its a T3 departure (as will be on domestic connection via T5).
Thanks for learned thoughts.

I flew in CW upper deck a couple of years back on one of the cheapest long haul J fares I've ever seen (think it was a sale). It was an old 747 though.

Seem to be some cheap fares from Inverness - these are mid-March - £1,800 in F, £1440 in J. Via ORD also available for extra TPs.

DEN is often a relatively high fare route as BA has little competition on the direct flight route - United are now operating a direct service but I recall them saying this would be a summer only service (hasn’t united heard of the ski season?). Consequently BA haven’t discounted fares in sales as much as other routes.

yes, LHR-DEN is always T3 so you’re using the T3 Gold Lounge, not the concord room. gold lounge is nice, but if you’re EC gold already then there’s no benefit.

also so bear in mind lhr-den is usually an older 747 mid j.

having said all that, have travelled lhr-den in F many times and it’s lovely.

Nah this isn’t true because Norwegian fly this route from london and there’s a massive correlation between Norwegian routes and lower BA prices. If you search for cheapest fares on the BA app it’s very competitively priced in all cabins. The biggest difference in Y where it’s about £300-350 all year round. Dallas is around 700 for comparison.

I agree with this. I fly both routes and I often see DEN J fares that are the same as the DFW WTP fares.
