This is great. However, for me personally, I'd now like the 6k TP Joker to be an option (like at 7k), as with not having to use a Joker to use my GUF vouchers, I likely won't need the 6k one.

While this is a genuine enhancement, Iím still left a bit baffled. What then is the use of the GGL Jokers?

They will probably be "enhanced" soon.

One use is opening up to 5 redemption seats for Avios bookings when no general redemptions are available.

The Ďjokerí can still be used for standard Avios redemptions which would otherwise require reward availability.

that would seem to be against the flow. The recent changes to GUF use both with this and TA bookings are improvements surely?

Seems like this doesn't change the way we can apply GUFs upon booking at BA.com or is mine just acting up?

You are right, i don't think ba.com can cope with this variation so if you want to take advantage either call and d the booking & GUF together or book the underlying fare online and call to apply the GUF.

The OP states that this works with booking made by BA. Given that for a while now, BA could upgrade TA bookings with a GUF, can this new enhanced availability also apply to the case of TA bookings?

you can now retrospectively apply a guf on a ta booking via the ta using revenue availability Upgrade Existing Bookings using a GUF

My question was more in thinking about an OTA booking. Some complicated routings I come up with on ITA seem to only price correctly with cheapoair. I suspect asking cheapoair to do that might be a VERY long conversation....

In other words do we get this latest enhancement in combination with the 2018 enhancement of BA upgrading with GUF a TA booking (which required award space availability)
