New champagne glasses CW

I know some of you do not like the stemless glasses we currently use, good news for you are that a new stemmed glass will be introduced on the 29th June.

Don't tell me they've bought a glass to match the mouthful of champagne you get prior to pushback? :D

That glass is way too full to have been served on a BA flight.

But not when the FA tells you “now just one sip, then straight back to me please to share out amongst another three passengers .....”

I've got it - stem-less Champagne glass means orange squash glass one sixth filled then.

I'm waiting for the first pictures. I'm not one to complain about something even before I see it.

Sounds good. They almost inevitably will have better grip than the stemless one which I keep spilling on myself.

At least you got the chance. My thimble of champagne served last week evaporated before I got my hand to it!

Am I the only one to be served a full stemless glass of the fizzy stuff ?
Unfortunately I would have preferred a thimbleful - I didn’t like it at all. It was after a hard night on the early morning 178 from JFK so it must have been bad.
I like the stemless glassware it is more stable during turbulence.

Thanks for the laugh, JP-MCO. My favourite FT post to date. Cheers.

Did they really get more complaints about the lack of stem than the lack of Champagne?
