Is it the old CW champagne glass coming back just for PDB's?

The new glass is for both PDB and after takeoff, you will still see the old champagne glass being used for other drinks.

The cynic in me would say this will support the thimble policy by making it look more generous, as presumably liquid capacity will be reduced to make way for the stem.

Nice, I'm flying on Saturday so I'll have a champagne, for research purposes.

The cynic in me thinks that more people are now ordering spirits instead of the cheaper wines and champagnes due to the lack of proper glassware. But maybe I'm wrong maybe the costs of spirits is similar?

Speaking of sprints, we will only have large bottle of whisky, malt, gin and vodka in CW from the 1st July.

I thought the glassware had improved in CW? Has it changed again?

Exactly - the new CW tumbler is very nice and on all of my recent CW trips decided on G&Ts rather than my usual wine and Champagnes and wondered if others may have done the same thus the introduction of proper stemware back in CW.

So no more asking for the miniature to "mix your own"? Do you know which brands yet?

I thought the old style short-stem glasses were ideal. They gave something close to the ‘proper’ feel of a stemmed glass but were short enough to not tip too easily due to clumsy handling or light turbulence.

What's the rational for the change (in terms of spirits) and I assume you will also have an optic (or similar) to ensure a proper pour? I can already hear the complaints about short (or overly-generous) pours of spirits once this change comes into effect.

I’m sure it cheaper, why else would BA change it, the bottles with have pourers attached that dispense one measure?
