They've just had SMS that the flight is delayed overnight and accommodation is being arranged. Apparently a very distressing situation on board and the crew weren't able to continue to Zante (and would be stuck here anyway due to curfew)

Obviously nothing to be done but appreciate if anyone gets any info on their ETA tomorrow - presumably a rescue flight will go from London?

That doesn't sound pleasant.

I would recommend them using the BA app, or visiting the BA website.

The app home screen or manage my booking page should be useful as will the "flight status" feature that's in the app and on the website too.

At some stage they'll update with the revised details.

Apparently the coffee shop lady is doing a great job of keeping them updated and the pilot has said that hotels are being arranged. Obviously some twit is complaining...

I suspect a crew might go out on the scheduled flight tomorrow? Would they be able to position to Zagreb and then operate Zagreb-Zante-Heathrow?

Thanks

Showing as a 2.20pm departure now though so that doesn't seem to be the plan...

Absolutely gutted they are missing the first day of a trip 18 months in the planning but it is what it is

Not nearly as gutted as the friends and family of the person involved, Im sure. Or the crew, considering it was a very distressing situation on board.

Tell the aforementioned twit that he is perilously close to featuring in the DYKWIA thread.

Medical emergencies happen on any airline. I hope that the passenger involved makes a speedy recovery.

I'm a passenger on the flight.
currently in the westin overnight.
the crew didn't stop trying to revive the passenger during the whole decent. They were so quick and reactive to keep him going.
the medical staff that came on board tried also for around another 30 min. Unfortunately the guy didn't pull through.
He was travelling with his wife. God bless her.
