New SSCI machines at T5?

Don't think I've seen a thread on this, but I noticed a bank of different ssci machines in T5, I think around the D desks. They weren't there last weekend that I recall.

They seemed very unreliable, one was unavailable and another was rebooting. Gui looks different and more modern. Machines are very slimline.

Didn't get a chance to use as all available ones were in use.

Anyone know more?

The new check in kiosks at zone D have been there almost 2 months. They are the same as the ones in connections but updated software. I found them excellent. Very fast and efficient and quick reading passport when I went away last month, maybe they were playing up when you went. Not sure when they will get more to fully replace the older machines elsewhere on the concourse.
