30k Avios Airbnb deal

New Airbnb rentals can get 30k avios for renting out for 1 night for over 100usd. If the small print reads ok, you could rent your house to yourself (get your friend to rent it for one night). 100 usd minus what Airbnb takes, guess you'll make 40 or 50 usd back. Bag 30k avios for 50 dollars.

I may be wrong?

This is US only, but topcashback in the UK had 230 as of yesterday.

Now this is on a blog, you can expect this not to work. Either theyll pull the deal, or scrutinise claims in detail.

Its usually tricky to access deals in other territories, but no harm in trying via the US. TCB isnt s bad alternative.

Would suggest out of town friends are better guests than spouses.

230 on TCB is 24,500 Avios with no risk of failing foul of any residency issues on the US deal.

The small print does say genuine transactions. If youre renting to yourself or a close friend and immediately delist the property Id not call that genuine. But thanks for the heads up as I have a relative whos considering getting into the room rental business , and this is a great incentive for her to try Airbnb.

Thinking of this outside the original context makes at least me smirk at the very least.

I'll look in to TCB. I'm happy to rent my top floor to anyone really. My property is Mexico based, so good chance it falls outside. Shame I can't find more detailed info.

Folks may want to see how the last Avios shopping deal that was massively blogged about worked out: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...us-portal.html .

I clicked the link to the TPG article but when clicking the link to the offer it said
Sorry
The page you're looking for has either moved or no longer exists.
Also Airbnb does not come up when doing a search.

And the offer isn't listed on TPG UK site

What if you already are an Airbnb host? I tried this out under my BA account and it can see my existing Airbnb listings. It is now asking me if I wish to duplicate those listings. I am not sure what that means? Will my properties be listed twice? How could that work?

Anyone have an update? I hosted my first guest in late June and I still have nothing. I follow up every week or so but keep receiving useless boilerplate replies.
