[The Club at ATL] Worst lounge award?

Club at ATL. It seems to serve One World and Star Alliance and is the size of a shoebox. Salad and cold wraps on offer. Sweet cordial drinks.

Given that Iím flying in F itís an evening of contrasts.....

Itís awful there. Packed. Tragic food. Loud. A little roped off area for OneWorld. Champagne (not really) served in tacky wedding saucer glasses from 1986. I usually go in, pound a G&T, and then sit in the empty gate area and wonder if I shouldíve flown Delta after all.

ATL has an excellent restaurant / One Flew South. Why bother with the lounge if looking for food and drink?

It is one of the worst lounges I have ever visited. I am teetotal but the disgusting cordial near drove me to drink. I don't demand much from a lounge but was so disappointed that for a return trip to Huntsville instead of flying into ATL and driving from there, I have decided to fly into Nashville and give that experience a go.

It's difficult to shower at One Flew South.

That was the only real use I had for the lounge at ATL. We were glad that we had enough time to enjoy the restaurant.

Our last two return trips in CW (as a lowly Blue) were from ORD and TPA. Both lounges were dreadful

It really is a dreadful lounge. Unfortunately, unless youíve got access to Delta SkyClubs, itís the only place you can get a shower in ATL AFAIK. Itís terrible for food, mediocre for drinks, and is invariably packed in the evenings.

If Iím at a loose end at the airport, I usually walk over to concourse E and grab some food.

Fortunately (for me at least), itís my home airport, so if Iím flying back to LHR, I can just turn up to the airport late enough to not have to endure it!

The old BA lounge in Concourse E was much more enjoyable

You could use the Admirals Club, but as noted above by schoppen, it's in Concourse T, which is at the opposite end of the airport, so a bit of a trek. It's also extremely underwhelming, even by Admiral's Club standards. I wouldn't bother personally - in fact even on domestic flights out of T I often don't use it and opt instead to grab some food from a retail outlet.

I ended up at the seafood place on the ground floor beneath the other restaurants.
