Named flights

I am not aware of any BA flights having names. Many train journeys have names like the Cornish Riviera or the Flying Scotsman but has there ever been specific names for particular flights?

The only one I can think of was the daylight flight from JFK which was known as the Monarch Service.

Not such a name, but one of the LAX-LHR services often gets referred to as BA26Late for good reason.

The Elizabethan Service was more the service onboard, the two I mention above were Marketing names where the service were announced using these names.

Wasn't Concorde announced as British Airways' Supersonic Service to New York, rather than the flight number?

My first trip to Barbados was by Caledonian Airways charter in the early 90's on an ex B-Cal/BA DC-10.
At that time Caledonian was still owned by BA.

When the return flight was announced for boarding at BGI it was announced over the tannoy as Caledonian Airways Clansman Service to London Gatwick. Never figured out what the Clansman reference was all about - it was all the same class on board from front to back but it sounded very exclusive!

I was on recently that should have been called the "Slow Roaster"; cabin temperature was uncomfortably hot for a 7 hour flight.

I think we should start naming them. I'll start.
