That's such a nice picture for the simple reason it's so timeless. You can't say is it from 2019 or 1999 (prior to dropping Landor), because there's no other planes visible or anything else era specific for that matter.

When a Swiss 777 put in at YFB with a blown engine a couple of years ago, Swiss chartered a An-124 to fly in the replacement. We saw the An-225 fly in to BFI several years ago to pick up a six-pack of 777 engines that were headed to GE for maintenance.

I remember - it was 2012, or 2013 - a Mid-J having engine troubles out of Phoenix. Eventually they didn't do a ferry because, if I remember correctly, they didn't have enough lift - given the hot weather - to go all the way to LHR without stopping en route. Having never been to Vegas I don't know whether it's any different there.

I'd guess it was this one from Doncaster? I can't see any other B747F flights into LAS last night...

However, the post a few above mine stated that the new engine was being sent in a 747F last night, and I assumed that poster had some inside knowledge on the matter...
