AA routes with zero Tier Points?

I recently flew ORD-MYR on AA (3799) and although the avios credited fine the route gave no tier points. Having a look on the BA calculator this seems correct if not a little weird. Is this a case of the calculator being a little wrong or are there some routes on AA which earn avios but no TPs?

If it helps it was bought through BA as part of a larger itinerary and was issued as a 125 ticket. It was operated by envoy air I think.

This sounds more like a glitch... perhaps a new AA route that was not entered correctly into BA’s systems.

The ticket stock doesn't matter as much as the flight number and the fare code, was it sold as AA or BA?

Sold as AA3799. Ive not travelled around the states much...usually head east so I'm not sure how it works with AA and their wetleases/operated by etc. When booking on BA there was no option for a codeshare.

That looks like a data error to my mind. It should have been 40 TPs on that, so I would contact BA about it, either using the form, or probably better in this scenario, a telephone call. It may take a few weeks to change since it's AA which awards the TPs.

Hmm, AA3799 currently showing as Charlotte to Charlottesville. Are you sure it is being operated by AA?

ORD-MYR is operated by AA, but I believe it is only 1x/week (at least with this flight number).

the flight number is used for both ORD-MYR and the Charlotte route.

if you look up AA ORD-MYR on the ba calculator it does incorrectly show only avios with 0 TPs for all selling classes. As CWS noted this is clearly a data error and a call would be best to resolve.

ISTR this glitch having been reported by others before. It was being sorted out, and with no further report on the thread, I think one can presume that it must have been duly sorted out: AA Flight crediting Avios but not Tier Points?

Quick update on this...after dealing with a few people from BA customer service I've been told that
a) Flight wasn't operated by AA = no tier points
b) Flight has credited correctly and J class doesnt earn tier points.

Going to give @BAMissingAvios a ping and see what happens!

Both a) and b) are rubbish of course, this is an AA prime flight, there is no Envoy air flight number. Good luck!

Interesting.... I had the same two weeks ago on an ORD-CHS flight in first.... Zero Tier points, but 40 for CHS-PHL and 40 for PHL-ORD on the return segments... Avios on all three. Now i'm Gold for Life it's not important but I might have a complain anyway as i am in the mood!
