Welcome to the Find me a good BA fare ticket clinic.
This is essentially for BA / BA codeshares and partner only. If your booking is essentially on Qatar, Qantas, AA or anyone else, please go to those forums and pursue the matter there. These forums have good subject matter experts to hand.
- Please avoid very vague questions. Specific questions get specific answers. Give exact dates, start point, end point, what flexibility you have.
- As a courtesy to the other forum members, please at least read some of the advice in the posts above, and find one fare as a start point. It's a lot easier to provide constructive feedback that way.

Belfast / Dublin to Phuket

Hi All,

I posted some details of this fare I am looking at in the thread here > Always cheaper Business Class Fares through 3rd Parties?

In short, I am travelling from Dublin (Or Belfast) in December / January, two people in Business. At the moment, i'm finding quite a few different fares through a number of third parties but am struggling for the best deal through BA direct.

I would rather fly with another airline, but BA seems to be best priced. Any help appreciated,

I'm finding a bunch of ex-EU fares for GBP 1300-1400 out of France / Benelux / Germany / Italy, all into AUH. Factoring in positioning flights (also in business), it's looking like Luxembourg is the winner, at GBP 1570 (£1315 + £255)

To be honest, since the Qatar / UAE blockade removed all the QR flights and hence a bit of competition, I think that's probably the best I'll do! However, in case of anyone knows of a better place to ex-EU via for the UAE in late August, I figure it's worth asking

(Helsinki is showing for GBP 1325, add on £300 for positioning flights, and while you get a 80 rather than 40 tier points each way, it seems to need overnights both ways which pushes the total cost up rather!)
The direct LHR-AUH with BA on those exact dates is £1655. Your LUX option is £1570. Is worth all that positioning to save less than £100?

Ex-DUB is also £1300, which may be cheaper to position to than LUX.

Anyone seen any decent (so <£2k/ea, did see a £1.3k fare for August back in July) business fares ex-EU to San Franciso (or SJC/OAK)? Would prefer to do BA (or codeshares), but I'm pricing out at around £2400-2500 ea for September or October at the moment

Tokyo to London March 2020
Outbound (TOK > LON) 19th March
Return (LON > TOK) by Sunday the 29th, so probably depart 28th

Ideally looking for two Club World tickets but would consider World Traveller Plus.

I fly this route quite often and the prices have slowly been creeping up so would love to know any ideas, we have nested two returns before but this is only sometimes feasible. In the past this was around £1,300 W on BA or there were Cathay J options at £2k but now being quoted ~£4k each J on BA.

Either airport in Tokyo is fine, same for London, would consider plus / minus a day to make it work, or something more inventive.

If DME is ex-EU, it is in Europe after all
Then DME-SJC can be found from GBP 1505 in the September-October time frame. Many options at this price, including the nonstop LHR-SJC.

What an amazing resource. Thanks to all involved and to CWS who always contributes an enormous amount of time and effort.

I have been afraid to ask this question and pondered where to post, I think this may be my best option. The TP run thread does not really focus on BA or BA marketed flights (codeshare), this was my reasoning for posting here.

I need four "BA operated flights" + 200 TP before Aug 8th to gain silver. Even though I am based in Calgary (YYC) I can position to Vancouver, Seattle or Dallas (at a push).

The BA fares from YYC are extremely high so I have priced some fares out of Vancouver. The cheapest I can get is:
YVR-LHR-BRU in Premium Economy which would give me 90+10 TP as the LHR-BRU leg is in K class. The return would yield 20+90 as the BRU-LHR leg is in Y.

Leaving August 1st return August 5th for CAD 2125.00. I can get 10% off using my RBC Ba Visa card with a promo code. This would get me silver and bunch of Avios.

I found this fare using the Map feature on Googlle flights. It books on BA. Strangely I cant see this on ITA for the same dates, it must be something to do with ITA not picking up the K and E fares on the LHR-BRU segments?? Other options are to Vienna or Luxembourg for a little more money.

The only BA codeshares (i can get from this part of the country) are on AA, which does not make things cheaper. (the RBC visa 10% of promo code is only on BA flights)

My questions are:

1) Am I searching the correct way.
2) Does this seem reasonable.
3) Any other ideas

Thanks for any input or direction.

Hi All,

Looking for...

DUB or BHD > HKT

Dates: 18th/19th/20th December 2019 - 11th/12th January 2020.

I've found some okay fares around the £2,200 mark, but I know that some of you are experts in this, so any help is appreciated!.

Would appreciate if any gurus would look into this for me:

We're looking at getting to Southern Vietnam (SGN/DAD) for a bit of sun next February. Looking to get there using BA/OW/codeshares in W or J if possible. For 2 weeks, relatively flexible with dates.

NCL based but happy to jump somewhere relatively close: Scotland, London, AMS, DUB, BHD, BCN, CDG etc are easy enough to position to.

Best I've found is AMS-SIN/KUL in W for around the £790 mark, then buying the SE Asia flights separately with one of the locos there. This is pretty good value and would be willing to pull the trigger, unless anyone has any better ideas?

Cheers

on ITA Matrix, best way to get WT+ fares is to add the expression F bc=T in the extension codes box, then select Cabin to “Cheapest Available”

Budapest

I’m not sure if this really qualifies within the “rules” of this thread, but I hope it can be indulged as using the same problem-solving creativity.

I need to to travel to Budapest in early September. I notice it’s not quite a SH+ destination, so my thought was to optimise TPs by flying somewhere a little further from LON, then making a quick hop back to BUD (and reverse this for the return). The latter sectors can be on any airline, OW would be a bonus but not essential, low cost would be fine even (will be travelling HBO).

I can include a Saturday in the schedule if need be; I need to be in BUD by Sunday evening; return on Wednesday ideally.

I drew a bit bit of a blank finding routings that worked and didn’t have terrible connection times. Any brilliant ideas out there?

Looking for flights to either west coast USA or north east Asia (Tokyo, Seoul etc) for mid/late May next year in J or F. I’m DUB based but don’t mind another start point within reason. I know it’s early to start looking for May but trying to arrange something around a wedding

Do you have any more specific details? Budget? Approximate dates? Duration?
