Just a thought...
Yup... I'm definitely up for that but would need guesting into CCR or make it GF and I can guest someone in! Well worth 4000 Avios and 17.50

Not sure whether it breaches BA rules on lounge use tho

Breaches the "taking the piss" rules

Esp. if 50 people show up on a bunch of dom or close short haul, then all cancel, but who knows ... maybe BA won't notice at all. I wonder how many would have to do this to raise a flag over and above usual and customary no show rates.

I certainly wouldn't be willing to gamble my CCR card and BAEC account on it.

Yeh... I agree. Perhaps it is not such a good idea. It is one thing for one person to do it to meet up with a friend as a one-off but completely another to have loads of us doing it and taking over the CCR or GF when we are not intending to fly.

Good point

What about actually flying a return RFS. 8000 Avios and 35. OK not as good as sitting in the CCR drinking LPGS (or whatever they are serving) but you would get a B2B to somewhere included... I am thinking Manchester (?).... and we could visit the lounge legitimately then.

Just thinking aloud!

Sorry for the silence on this. It's being worked on and hopefully details soon.

Afternoon all,

I'm pleased to announce the location of this year's FT Summer Party:

PERGOLA ON THE ROOF
Pergola Paddington, 5 Kingdom Street, Paddington Central, W2 6PY

With a magnum of LP Rose for only 170, and a coke for 2.50, there's something for everyone in the drinks department - and, for those that need to line their stomachs, the food choices are excellent too!

For more information you can check out the website here https://pergolalondon.com/pergola-paddington , or for the important bits, see the menus attached.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Updated wiki with venue address and moved myself from possible to confirmed. The Novotel across the road isn't too badly priced. Member rate for two nights was 330 euros.
