Well, there are sections on cruises, on hotels, so why not on rail travel. In fact, if the site was less US-centric such a section would likely already be buzzing...

You are overthinking it. Ads are served up by algorithms, likely no human was involved in showing that ad to you on this site

I know it's all done by computers - it was more the fact that it tickled me that a Eurostar advert cropped up on a FF forum. No overthinking was carried out on my part.
