BA 1326 (LHR-NCL) 10 May fully booked?

Iím booked on this flight this coming Friday & a separate DUB-LHR with EI arriving 70 mins earlier. The flight is no longer bookable so does that mean itís completely booked? The reason I ask is Iím concerned about the tight connection & the next flight to Newcastle is 7hrs later and looks pretty full too

The 1326 availability is shown below

I wouldn't do a 70 min unprotected separate flight on different airlines and terminals

Yeah thatís my concern. We wonít have checked luggage but 70 mins is tight and itís not like there are lots of subsequent options. Iím half considering forsaking my current DUB-LHR and buying one for the previous night & staying in LHR. Thistle is about £80

Heineken Cup Final is on Sat in St James Park. Large travelling support from Leinster (plus a few car loads from Sarries ).

You still have plenty of time to get a train up, though Fri pm will be busy and expensive regardless of the rugby.

Yeah as it stands, the difference in price of the train versus a new DUB-LHR & the hotel between the 2 of us is about £25

That's assuming you DON'T make it.

Id take the option that preserves the upside possibility...

That explains why the DoubleTree was nearly £300

Let us know if you make it. You have a pretty good chance.

Have you done a T2 to T5 connection before?

Even if you can get a ticket, I'd be worried that the flight will be overbooked. If so, it could be late or you could be offloaded.

You don't have 70 minutes. You have that less the BA conformance cut off time!

So 35 mins to get from T2-T5 ...

and hope it lands early to give you a few extra minutes.

current off peek one way train with LNER fare on Friday = £ 140. £ 200 for first.

So I chickened out and have bought a DUB-LHR the previous evening and a night at the thistle. As the train price continues to rise it worked out about half the price versus a potential train ticket and at least now I know Iíll get on the NCL flight rather than taking the chance
