789 First Reward seats!!

Does anyone know how many 1st rewards flight seats are available on the 789 per flight. With there being only 8 seats in the cabin I couldn’t imagine it’s more than 1 or 2? Expert flyer is showing 6 available on my flight to SCL but BA says No reward availability :-(

BA don't guarantee to release any F award seats, I'm afraid (only J). It could be most of the cabin or it could be none, it all depends how popular the route is and what BA revenue management decides to do. Generally speaking, less likely to be lots of reward availability on 789 flights just because of the smaller cabin, but it varies.

We have a booking back from KUL in a few weeks on a 241, so there are at least 2 on occasion.

Reward availability does come up for SCL - I've been lucky both ways. Both were relatively close in to departure if I remember correctly. I think my SCL-LHR popped up only a couple of days before, and for a handful of avios I had a near-empty cabin to myself.

As noted above, I've used three 241s on KUL - seems to be OK if you book far out so wouldn't rule out 789 F seats

I got two F seats on BA5 LHR-NRT but had to book 355 days out to secure them. Availability does seem to appear randomly from time to time but that depends on the magic spell cast by revenue management.

When I flew to PVG in 2017 they had 6 of the 8 available as reward seats.

Varies massively on route and revenue management.

Same here. Seems to be often 2 seats released when the flight opens for booking. Surprises me with Silicon Valley, guess more of the execs either fly private and/or live closer to SFO - have a much more difficult time finding F award space to SFO.
