While totally ridiculous, this could be the reason it bothered the Saudis.
Obviously, the Saudi customs enforcement police know nothing about cell lysis being used in the production of yeast extract for Marmite and Vegemite - a process that destroys the yeast cells. However Saudis all know about beheading destroying a human's life too.

Ignorance on the Saudi enforcement police part only reinforces their authoritarian actions.

love the stuff - it's true -love it or hate it!

Favourite is cheese on toast with butter and marmite underneath- works well with Crumpets too

Do BA have marmite in First - often been tempted to ask!

For frequent travellers as myself, Amazon sell the catering pack portions in a box of about 48. Not the most cost effective but easy to slip half a dozen into my liquids bag when I'm flying with no checked bag!

We haven’t found it on sale in Jersey yet, but will keep looking.
I'm going into Sainsburys later, specifically to buy a jar of this. I love peanut butter and love Marmite, so what could possibly go wrong with this combo?

If you want me to pick you a jar up and post it off to you, let me know.

I love it, but the prospect of it entering the main body of my luggage in an unpressurised hold would put me off that particular risk......

From the National Museum Australian website:
Vegemite was invented in Melbourne in 1922 when Australian food manufacturer Fred Walker asked chemist CP Callister to create a product similar to British Marmite.

Put simply, Vegemite is a pale imitation of a fundamental foodstuff

So whilst you're all blathering about this inferior Australian version, can I confirm...

The only way to get this is to book a flight from LCY and take an oversize jar (well over 100ml) to swap for the limited edition version?

Because I totally would.

That is the only way for "free" and to get it on April 30th before it is released for general sale on board BA planes (for £3 a jar) on the 1st May.

You are very kind! However, I shall relish the search during my visit to UK in July. Good things have to be earned!!

Stop adding things to your Marmite!

In other news, you can watch Americans try Marmite followed by Vegemite in this Buzzfeed video:

Liar, Liar Pants on Fire. Sounds like you write "speeches" - if you can call them that - for Lyin' Donnie J. Trump.

Things can go wrong as the pressure goes up and down (e.g. try tightening the lid of your empty bottle of water in the cabin when flying at cruising altitude and watch it get crushed as you land) but the journey is not likely to rupture a marmite package en route as there is little gas in the package.
