True but OP wants to try and fly F.

But BA also doesn’t fly from BCN to LGW but Vueling does. But are Vueling flights available using AA miles which the OP also wants to use?

My advice to the OP is that if flying BA F is the goal here then BCN to MCO isn't the trip to do it.

All options require flights in other then the cabin sought after and it is disntictly possible that some of it will be in Y. Not my call of course but a direct TATL to MIA in J on AA coupled with a short connection to MCO would save significant time, money and miles compared to the suggested options.

Not relevant, because he's booking with AAdvantage.

The whole issue is very confusing, however I still intend to book my trip before May 30th.

I paid US $785.90 for "taxes and carrier-imposed fees" when using AA miles. ORD-IAH-LHR in F. ORD-IAH on AA, IAH-LHR on BA. One ticket.

It's only confusing, if you mix up two completely different FFPs, which are not the one same thing. BAEC |= AAdvantage. The redemptions via AA cost the same as before. Only look at the AAdvantage redemption charts for what your BA tickets will cost now - and no, it's irrelevant do you book now or June 1st. Unless AA announces any changes, the AAdvantage redemptions are business usual.
