LHR - JFK in BA Business 747 or 777 ?
Hi there,
Planning a one-way flight from LHR to JFK next year around July.
Im booking with Qantas points so restricted to BA for business. Wondering which is the better seats in business the 747 or 777 on this route.
My main concern is sleeping.
Which would you choose and why ?

There are loads of threads on this if you do a raw Google search (generally much better than searching on Flyertalk) Theres also threads in the BA Forum Dashboard too if your not aware.
Seating Queries: Club World
Personally 747 and upper deck over the 777.
747-400 or 777-200 from LHR to IAH
Given the choice, BA CW: 747, 777 or 787

If your main concern is sleeping then choose the flight that best fits your schedule. B777s and B747 have the same seats, so it's the same bed, and a very comfortable bed to sleep in.

The babybus is a fun thing to do but I wouldn't choose it if my main concern were sleeping.
That said, my jet lag strategy is to always be in the mode of wherever I am, so on a daytime flight I wouldn't want to sleep but obviously you feel differently.

Considering you can't even book your flight for months yet, you might want to wait and see what's available. In any case, it's another vote for 747 UD from me.

you also have AA biz class to choose with QF points. And the advantage is that you can get an AA connector for free as long as it is within the band mileage (if you mix BA and AA you'll pay separate sector fares).
The fuel surcharge also drops significantly for AA (like the taxes fees and charges are about 1/3 of those on a BA itinerary).
on the topic of this thread, I'd go the 747. But even lower deck with a bulkhead window is good.

Is the babybus disappearing? I really need to change my next flight plans if it is...
