I had this very experience F+ WT (albeit briefly and through choice) a few weeks back on BA 11 Lhr-Sin. I met a couple of lost souls (2 French nurses off to do charitable works in Cambodia ) in the T5 tunnels (that made 3 of us then as it was my first time down there) and escorted them to our mutual C gate. Impressed by their charitable demeanour, and to continue our social intercourse as new best friends (well it was a 15 minute walk) I pooled our BPs and so their group 5 boarding became a Group 1 experience (no difference there then). Airborne I requested that if possible a glass of fiz be sent back to 28H/K and a short time later received a nice thankyou note from them so left 2A and wandered down the back for a chat. 28J was empty so I stayed a few hours before wandering back up the front. Must say that I did wonder afterwards (well until it was flat bed time that is) if travelling with somone to engage in conversation with, at 1/4 the price, would be a better way to spend 13.5 hrs rather than being Billy No mates up the front. On reflection and after some deliberation (noting a penchant for otherwise unaffordable LPGS and a need to sleep horizontally rather than semi reclined - I ve come to the conclusion that No it isnt.

If you also travel HBO then it’s always going to be better heading straight to the F lounge/CCR.
