Let's start from the seat. Nearly all longhaul F airlines have seats that are not staggered/compacted to give a spacious cabin. I'll exclude the extreme ones like QR 388 / EY 388 or the new SQ suite with separate bed + seat. Even CA or LH has spacious F seat. The BA F seat still has an angle, reminds you of Cirrus and is often as dirty as SQ F. BA's selection of material and lighting is a plus and IMO superior to many other airlines tho.

Ground service - CX, TG and LH wins on lounges. CCR isn't too bad comparing to NH and JL, but it's not SQ Private Room or the Pier F. EK has a car service. TG gives a massage. LH sends you to the gate on a Porsche but you take your little train through T5. Not at the same level.

Food - this is what BA's worst - it is inconsistent. Departing PEK/HKG/PVG you get an Essex Chinese takeaway loaded onto F plate. Departing LHR you get proper full English. NH is able to bring up the standard of food when at outstation but BA seems unable to enforce its standard. And many other airlines can do it.

Staff - refer to the old MF vs WW debate. I have met wonderful F crew and has sent thank-yous in the past but there are also some indifferent type or incapable ones - let's not get personal and pretend everything is OK then.

Borderline - I love LPGS, I love LPGS, I love LPGS!

A number of posts which constituted nothing more than a personal spat and added nothing to the thread have either been edited or removed. It really should not be necessary to remind experienced members that two conditions of participation on Flyertalk are that we remain civil to each other and do not engage in personal attacks, but clearly the message is not getting through.

This has not been BAFT's finest hour. Desist or leave the conversation.

Can you clarify what's considered personal spats? Maybe I missed some posts, but my post (that has been removed) was jokingly responding to the "personal" post above regarding cats urine (which has not been removed).

Ultimately the LH seat offers no huge benefits over the BA seat (other than perhaps the 747), the car is also a bit of a novelty, it doesn't really save you much time, its the not having to wait/ queue to get on which is the real benefit of the LH service that BA would be good to try to replicate. I suspect the gate check-in in the lounge and some kind of escort is the only way. Potentially a possibility post the likely decline in seat numbers with the aircraft updates

I disagree.
1) Some people prefer to sleep in parallel to the direction of travel.
2) Even more people don't like putting feet into a confined space.
3) The car saves time because you spend more time in FCT. And you board discreetly which is beneficial to a lot of F travellers.
4) You often have to wait for the gate to be open at LHR T5 (this is not totally BA's fault though).

It would help if you were consistent in this approach - nothing wrong with my reply yet you leave post 56 up?

Are there different rules on this forum? Perhaps we should ask for an impartial moderator to review?
