Transferring in AUH
I am flying LHR - AUH and AUH - LHR on BA on one booking and traveling onwards (AUH - MCT - AUH) in between, on a separate booking on Emirates. Does anyone here know if is possible to stay airside, in AUH, and therefore not go through immigration and the visa process?
I will have a case (not sure if through checking can be done on two different bookings...) |

According to their website, you will need to exit and check-in your bags as usual in the departure area.
International Connections | Transit Information | Airport Information | Abu Dhabi International Airport |
Hopefully your onwards flights are actually on Etihad and not Emirates? Etihad flies from AUH, Emirates flies from DXB.

BA will not check your bag through. You will need to reclaim your bag, clear immigration and check in for your Etihad flight. |
