BA NEW CLUB SUITE, WILL I GET IT?

What with the arrival of BA's biggest change in business class for some decades, this thread is intended to ask the inevitable question that I am sure many will want to know the answer to, something along the lines of "I am travelling on XX Jan 2036 from Heathrow to Sydney, will I get the new business class seat?"

Please do ask if you are not sure if your flight will fly the seat or not, its safe to say the more info you provide the more accurate the answer will be.

Aircraft involved: A350-1000XWB (also known as A351 and A350-1000), B787-10 (also known as B781) and a limited number of B777-200ER (B772).

Planned flights with the new Club Suites (information as of 16 December 2019):

Here’s my take on the when the CS might appear.

Senor C has said a new F Seat will be launched to ensure that F doesn’t look, let’s say out of place with the CS behind it. So with 2 x 777s being refitted with the New CS by Jan 20, will these 777 be 4 class and get the new F as well the CS? Which means BA can put these aircraft on routes that serve F.

I can see BA wanting to roll out F at the same time as the CS, because there can’t be many 3 class (No F cabin) aircraft in the LH fleet. The LGW 3 class are just completing their refit so I can’t see these getting the CS until last!

Or are the 777 already known for this year, i.e by the reg number and are 3 class?

Tel Aviv

If you are flying to Tel Aviv, this route will get the new CS onboard the A350, this commences in Dec 2019 as per the wiki at the top of this thread.

Please see the other threads for the A350 info.

Anyone else agree we have perhaps a few too many Club Suite threads on the go? (At least 3).

I think separation of content is a good thing. If we have multiple threads discussing routes, for example, then that is not. But I don't want to see discussions of the new Club Suite itself interspersed with information on routes etc (for example.)

And for something as big as the new Club Suite, only having three threads is a surprisingly low number IMO!

I can see why threads of similar discussions seem at a bit overwhelming at this stage, I’m not particularly biased as I don’t really mind how people get there info in a public forum, but this seat is the biggest change to BA’s product for 20 years.

It’s a huge shift and change for their passengers (existing or new) and will become even more apparent once it’s in the wild. Like anything there will be passengers that (believe it or not) dislike the new Suite, there will be lovers who want to know if they can get it on their travel plan. That was the reason for this thread.

It’s only that the new CS is on the A350 for the first/launch flights that we have 2 or 3 similar thread contents, as the A350 is new for BA too but ultimately the new CS will be made available on other aircraft and people will want to know if they will have it on their flight.

Lets see see how this pans out but I’ll keep this updated for those that find it helpful.

I see it that we have a general discussion (very interesting) about the new seat, comparisons, intricacies, general opinions. That’s here:

New CW ‘Club Suite’ Discussion Thread

The A350 discussion here:

Flying BA’s Airbus A350: deliveries, routes, reviews and more

and then this thread which will be for the people that ask the inevitable question... “I am flying to XYZ and wondered if I will get the new seat?”

Therefore there maybe a few threads but it breaks down the info quite nicely. Or do you have other suggestions?

I suspect that until the first A350 is fitted, if it isn’t already, then they can gauge the timeline with a better insight into how this new suite and layout works and therefore understand how this all works going forward.

The next aircraft to get the new CS is the current 777.

I can see the 787 getting fitted later in the cycle due to the age of the product on the 787 is relatively newer compared to the 777s.

If you're looking for a definitive answer, there isn’t one yet. I suspect we shall know more by the Autumn.

Does anyone know whether the A350 is being taken off the YYZ route as of March next year, or is the schedule just not loaded correctly yet?

Can I suggest your question is better off being asked in this thread...

Flying BA’s Airbus A350: deliveries, routes, reviews and more

This thread is more about when the new business class seat is on an aircraft or route rather than about specific aircraft(s) or route(s).

Thanks
