Yes I know re the markings but looks like they've added the A350 specifically and it's not yet arrived yet.

IIRC its gate A18 which can accommodate a wide body.

I suppose the supplementary question here is, if boarding is through doors 1 and 2, will the BA A350-1000s use the same stop position as the IB A350-900s? A photo may help to explain.

There how’s seems to be a lot of former 4 class routes (LHR-AUH/DEL/EWR/PHL/BOM/and maybe DXB)all moving to three class 777. I do wonder if they will be A350 routes next summer - if so a good way to avoid any F-J downgrade complications.
Anyone have any insights?

It's all gone very quiet regarding summer 2020 A350 routes? I've manually searched what must to 90% of the BA network and not one found. Seems odd as you could find a few in the winter timetable. Any updates? Thanks.

BA First A350 in the paint shop

As per BA’s Facebook page, for those who access it, the first A350 has entered the paint shop to get it full colours.

Here's a pick (from twitter) that shows the whole plane on it's way to the paint shop (I'm assured.)

I'm no expert, but... the nose on that BA A350 doesn't look nearly as pointy as on other A350s:

Is that some optical illusion due to the half-finished paint job?

I still dont really get what a A350 can do that their existing 787/773/777x wont cover?

I don't know any facts about why BA went for the A350 but it is probably a lot to do with BA's aging fleet that must be replaced and so the A350 is their choice to replace it. It is a logical choice given their large A319/320/321 fleet and also given the low running costs of the modern A3XX aircraft.
